Sunday Fellowship

The idea of having a Sunday fellowship revolving around morning coffee after Mass was first mooted by the late Fr. Peter Kim SJ, the parish priest at the time and assistant parish priest, Fr. Raju SJ. The first fellowship took place on Sunday August 5, 1984.

‘Coffee Morning” was set up to serve breakfast to parents and children attending Sunday School or Confirmation classes, at very reasonable prices. The initiative was also intended to extend a warm welcome and hospitality to new parishioners after Mass over a cup of coffee to enhance fellowship
and bonding.

Over the years, Sunday Fellowship continued to serve parishioners after Sunday morning Masses. In 2015, Sunday Fellowship achieved a significant milestone and was officially made a Ministry in SFX PJ by then parish priest Fr Albert Tan, SJ

Sunday Fellowship continues to be sustained by parishioners who cherish this initiative every Sunday morning. In response to the call of our Parish Priest, our ministry has also started serving refreshments during significant church events and special occasions.

We thank parishioners who generously offer their gifts from God in sharing their cooking or baking talents. One need not be a chef or a baker to join us. Rather, we warmly welcome anyone keen in serving with a heart of God and to give glory to Him.
