Orang Asli Community Visits SFX

Church of Saint Francis Xavier, Petaling Jaya, recently received a visit by the orang asli community from Kg Jong village in Rompin, Pahang. The courtesy visit was part of the natives’ sponsored trip to Kuala Lumpur, Petaling Jaya and Putrajaya.

SFX’s SSVP is currently undertaking and coordinating the building of 11 concrete houses to replace existing damaged attap houses, with the cost fully sponsored by ECM Libra Foundation. Kg Jong village is one of 4 villages in Rompin which was devastated by flood a few years ago. SSVP SFX has been supporting the community through monthly food provisions and resources to rejuvenate sustainable farming.
