The Gardening Ministry was formed in March 2023 to help maintain SFX’s sprawling and mature garden. The ministry’s first task was to spruce up and enhance Our Lady of Fatima (OLOF) Garden and improve the surrounding landscape.

The inaugural gardening & briefing session was held on 16th March 2023 where our parish priest Father Norris Seenivasan, SJ introduced the Landscape designer and Contractor where they briefed our ministry on the recommended maintenance routine especially on OLOF Garden.

It was decided that any useable garden waste from gardening team’s activities will be added to the composting bins set up by the Care for Creation Ministry.

The founding members of SFX Gardening Team are privileged to be part of this Ministry to help maintain OLOF Garden and surrounding landscape within SFX for the enjoyment of parishioners and visitors alike.

Irrespective of difficulty of the gardening tasks at hand, we work together with great enthusiasm and in a spirit of camaraderie.
