Catholic Marriage Preparation Course (CMPC)

This marriage preparation programme, developed in 1980, is specifically designed for Catholics who are planning to get married sacramentally in the Church.

The programme comprises six two-hour sessions held at the home (or online) of the presenting couple. A session is held each week for six consecutive weeks with a final session at church after a weekday mass for certificate presentation to the couples.

The programme is facilitated by the presenting couple who give an insight to the newly engaged couples about what living together as Sacramental Couple is all about. It also enables couples to discover themselves and assess whether they are compatible for marriage.

Couples should register with the parish office at least one year before the proposed wedding date to ensure that they are able to participate fully in the CMPC programme. For further information and guidance on the procedure, kindly click on this link.
