SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT
Dear Parishioners of SFX,
Although many, if not all, of you are familiar with the building known as Xavier Hall Institute which is just across the field from our church, few will be aware that Xavier Hall Institute is actually “owned” by, or falls under the jurisdiction of, the Jesuits of the Malaysia-Singapore Region.
It may interest you to know that plans are being discussed for our church to be allowed by the Jesuits to occupy and use Xavier Hall Institute on a landlord-tenant basis for a considerable period of time of perhaps up to 12 years.
In line with those plans, an Interim Building Committee has been set up to consider how Xavier Hall Institute may be utilised for the best advantage and benefit of our church and our parishioners and, thereafter, to undertake such renovation and refurbishment works as may be necessary to fulfil that purpose.
Towards those ends, the Interim Building Committee would like to invite you, as parishioners of SFX, to submit your suggestions and proposals as to how you think Xavier Hall Institute may be used to serve the needs or wishes of our church for the overall good of our community.
Suggestions and proposals should be emailed to xhiproject@sfxmail.com.my with “Xavier Hall Institute” as the subject matter. Do include your name and contact details to allow us to contact you for clarification if necessary. The last date for submissions is 21 September 2024.
