Formerly known as the Ministry to Working Filipinas, the Filipina Service Committee was formed in 1989 with the parish pastor of SFX Church as its chairman.

FSC provides three specific services to the Filipina migrant workers. These are:
– Regular Sunday Fellowship.
– Legal assistance
– Counselling

Sunday Fellowship is held at the “Bahay ni Maria” in Church of St Francis Xavier. This place has become a convenient drop-in centre for those who do not have any place to go to during their off days.

Legal assistance is provided by reference to the Philippines Embassy or the non-governmental organisations while counselling is provided by the FSC Core Group.
